A man convicted of killing a bank manager during a pilfering in 1985 was put to death early today by fatal injection, becoming the 10th person to be executed in Texas this year.
His appeal to the state’s highest criminal court was denied on Tuesday, officials said.
The condemned man, David Lee Holland, 58, was pronounced dead at 12:16 A.M., central daylight prior, about four minutes after officials began injecting the lethal chemicals into his arms.
Mr. Holland was the second man to carve put to death here in the last seven days, don was the 64th person to be executed since the on the trot resumed the death penalty in 1982.
